Birthdays are a Barkin’ Good Time at the SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE!!
Kids across the city are using their birthdays as an occasion to raise awareness about animal welfare issues and to collect donations to help the animals so we invite you to come and celebrate your special day at The Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. Our staff and volunteers will make your birthday bash as memorable as possible with exciting games, crafts and a shelter tour. And of course, we can’t leave out the real ‘party animals’. Everyone at the party will get a chance to meet and learn about some of our very special shelter animals, including how we care for them, and how we work to find them Furever homes.
The Party Program: What's Included
- Exclusive use of our party room for two hours.
- Set up and clean up by The SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE.
- Printable party invitations for your guests.
- Provision of party necessities: a cake knife and server, tablecloths, disposable plates, napkins, cups and utensils.
- A group orientation and shelter tour.
- An age appropriate craft or game.
- A safe, supervised opportunity to interact with SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE animals.
- A special memento for the birthday child.
The Guest List: Who to Invite
Since our parties involve direct interaction with animals, we can only accommodate a certain number of guests.
- When the birthday child and guests are between the ages of four and six, we can accommodate a maximum of eight children.
- When the birthday child and guests are seven years old and over, we can accommodate a maximum of ten children.
- Please keep in mind that if the birthday family includes younger children, they are welcome to join the party.
Party Rates and Extras
- Standard program price: $100.00
- Extended time: $30.00 for each half-hour (must be pre-arranged)
- Specialty Decorations (cat/dog plates, cat/dog cups, bone table decorations, balloons) can be provided for an extra $20.00
- We require a 50% deposit to guarantee a booking. Should you cancel your party within two weeks of your party date, your deposit will be forfeited.

What to Bring
Not much! At The SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE we take care of almost everything so you can relax and enjoy the party. However, you have the option of bringing
- A birthday cake.
- Food or snacks for your guests.
- Gifts (time is set aside for gift opening).
SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE programs are nut safe, so please leave any nuts or nut-related products at home.

If you have questions or want to book a birthday party, please contact The SPCA ANIMAL RESCUE Humane Education Team at 642-0929 or email us. It is important to book your party at least 4-6 weeks in advance as our schedule fills up very quickly.
*Please note that all details must be completed and confirmed at least one week prior to your party, so make sure you book several weeks in advance to avoid last minute preparations.
