In an effort to reduce our "carbon pawprint" we will be changing the format of how and when we send out our tax receipts in 2012. In the past we have sent out tax receipts each time a donation is made but the cost of the postage, envelopes, paper, ink, staff time, etc. is becoming too high for our organization and we want to make sure we are using our donor dollars in the best possible way.
In an effort to streamline our work, we will be doing what the majority of non profit organizations do and sending out a tax receipt for the full yearly total. As well, we will be building a program to allow us to email out tax receipts to further reduce the costs, so that as much money as possible will be going where it counts - into helping our animals.
